Hi! It's been a long time huh (nearly a year!).  Sorry we've been quiet for so long, but we still didn't kick the bucket! A lot has changed during that time, some projects were born, put on hold, abandoned and everything in-between, but we're talk more about this later, now's the time for an update!

For making everyone wait so long we prepared a good bunch of new additions.

Why?

Originally we planned to move on to other projects and let Barely Legal Cafe just sit like it is, but over time we felt more and more that what we did wasn't really right, the game crashed on random devices, part of it looked like they were drawn in 5 minutes (cause they were lmao) and there were some ideas that we left out of the game, so after consideration we slowly started fixing up the stuff we did.

but... what DID we add?

A lot of the things in the in-game changelog are some minor stuff, so we'll go over the most important ones here.

New Textures

We basically remade the existing textures and made new ones so your cafe actually looks decent now!

Optimized Old Textures

Because previously we GREATLY overestimated how big the textures should be, we now made the existing character textures 16 times smaller, which means the game weighs less and is less demanding on your device while still looking the same!

This should also fix the issue where the game crashes on certain mobile devices, so keep us updated on whether this helped resolve the issue or not!

Discord Rich Presence (optional and PC Only)

If you wanna be proud of having a great choice in games, we now give you the option to show everyone what you're playing!

Gyroscope Jiggle (Mobile Only)

If you're playing on mobile, moving your phone will now make the characters jiggles flop around, pretty cool right?

Mods! (PC Only)

If you ever wished to add your own character to the game, now you can! Just copy the folder, modify the example textures and you're done! If anyone does actually use this feature, or wants to download a mod someone else made, please share it with us on our  Discord Server!
